1. Data controller

CrewDeck (operating via the website and the upcoming mobile application) is operated by Victoria Tsintaraki, an individual based in Greece, acting as the data controller for your personal data. Contact: support@crewdeck.gr

2. What we collect

We collect account details (email, and phone number where required), profile information (name, role, boat types, areas, languages), optional availability dates, and basic technical data needed to operate and secure the service.

3. How we use data & lawful basis

We use your data to create and display your profile, enable search and filtering, send you news and updates about the upcoming platform launch (if you join the waitlist), and keep the platform safe. Our lawful bases are: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), your consent for optional features such as a public profile and marketing communications (Art. 6(1)(a)), and our legitimate interest in security and abuse prevention (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Storage & security

Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We apply reasonable security practices, but no system is 100% secure. Data is processed by our infrastructure providers acting as processors on our behalf, including Supabase (database), Resend (waitlist & transactional email delivery), and Apple push notifications. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (e.g. the United States); where this occurs, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard recognised under GDPR Chapter V.

5. Sharing

Public profile data may be visible to other users when Public profile is enabled. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If your account remains inactive for 24 months, or after you request deletion, we erase your personal data — except limited records we must retain to meet legal obligations.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can edit your profile in-app, delete your account from Settings, or email support@crewdeck.gr.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (ΑΠΔΠΧ), www.dpa.gr.
